Africa Itinerary

The state department is not being very encouraging, but we have gotten some good news from Kenya and the trip is still on. We will be leaving Mpls Monday at 3:30 P.M.

8+ hours to Amsterdam and 8 1/2 to Nairobi . We will be 9 hours ahead of your time.

5th in Nairobi hotel.

6th-Drive to Safari Sweet Waters Lodge (should see camels, yes camels and rhinos, etc.)

7-10th in Samburu Lodge. You can actually find Samburu on some African maps.
(at this time we will have crossed the equator as we go North)

11th Alliance Naro Moru Lodge

12-13th Lake Elementaita Lodge- Lake Nakuru (also on some maps)
and Masai Mara Game Reserve

14-15th Fig Tree Lodge

16-17th Sarova Mara Camp

18th Back to Nairobi and fly out late that night arriving home on the 19th

All this is subject to change according to the conditions. We hope to find internet connections so we can update this and get some pictures of what we are doing.

Hope you all keep things going in New London-Spicer until we get back.

Happy Traveling and Safe Return,
Wow, this is the first blogging I have done. I am so impressed with what you have set up. AND how useful it will be to you.
Marie, good luck on the prodding!! I do recall waiting for Lloyd to go back for his lunch, then his books, then his jacket.... All on our two mile, uphill all the way, walk to school. AND amazingly, it was uphill on the way home -- I think something about the tilt of the axis after lunch??
Looking forward to seeing you this summer with photos and all. Rod Doran

Hey mom and dad -

Have an awesome trip... we'll be praying for your safety and an unforgettable trip!

Bella has now had 2 "accidents", but I think she just is out of sorts because "her people" have left her... :( She has sad eyes. We'll take good care of your puppy for ya!

Keep updating the blog - you "techies"! :) You probably should've taken me along on this trip to do the updating of your blog FOR you!

Love ya - Ally

I am sure you are in the air as I am writing this. I believe that you will have an amazing trip and that God will be with you every step of the way. Enjoy every moment, and know that I will be praying Psalm 91 daily. God bless you~ Love, Tami
