Day 2 in Africa

Well Allison we are trying to download a picture on the worlds slowest computor.
We are in Samburu Game Lodge for the next 4 days and it is great.
Today alone we have seen a herd of 45 elephants that walked in front of our vehicle, 5 lions, 4 of which were chased up a tree by water buffalo, and many other birds and animals.
Chuck got his dinner roll stolen from his plate by a monkey. Two monkeys freaked mom out when they were trying to get in our cabin. Thanks for the prayers keep them coming.
You are all doing a good job.
P.S. Downloading didn't work.

Wow! That is SO cool... all the wildlife up close and personal! I'm so glad that you can at least update the blog with comments - even if the pictures don't upload. Oh well. At least we can hear about your experiences!! Keep it up! Glad that you have internet access.

Love ya -Ally

I think I have finally figured out the system. How fun to see those lions and elephants! Bill says hi--he and Mary went over to Duane Brown's last night and he is doing well. Has to be off his feet for another 6 weeks tho. I'm going to Willmar to the Y, this message is in place of the weekly phone call!

Love,

Kathy

Marie and Lloyd -
I've finally gotten a chance to greet you in God's country. I certainly am excited for you, and am looking forward to hearing more when you get back.

Last night Niemistes and us brought supper over to the Browns, and then we played hand and foot. A great evening, and the women won!!! Duane is doing well but has six more weeks that he can't put any weight on that leg.

Anyway - I'm praying for you, and I kind of think many more are also.
God bless.
Bill

Hey Lloyd and Marie:
this sounds to fun to believe. I can't wait to see the pictures. lions and elephants and monkeys and it is only day 2. I am big time jealous! we'll have to have a photo day on the big tv at our house when you get back.

while I was in Europe, we only were outside during the evenings when it was dark. Lucky the food and wine were good or it may have been hard to tell from Iowa, but it was 50 each day so I am not complaining, but I took no pictures
have a great time. Lori

Hi from the frozen north!

It's really windy and cold today with O temps and a strong wind which makes windchills in the -50 range. I just told you that to make you enjoy where you are even more.

We had to cancel the Sat. nite service and many of the rural churches are already cancelling for tomorrow.

Corey went to St. Cloud on Thurs. and visited Darrel, et all. I haven't had a chance to talk to him but I'll ask him tomorrow how things were.

I must return to fine-tuning my sermon on temptation. Don't be tempted to do anything crazy in the wild country!

We'll think of you tomorrow at the annual meeting,

KH
